How to design services, products and spaces putting user experience and needs in the centre? That topic was discussed by a Nowy Styl Group expert during the DESIGN IN THE AGE OF EXPERIENCE ™ conference – part of Milan Design Week.
The term ‘user experience’ was initially used in the context of designing internet websites and apps. Today, humans with their needs, expectations, fears, limitations and potential are in the centre of most innovations. Trouble-free use of products becomes a superior value in almost every field. Office space design is one of them, with employees as main users.
Karolina Manikowska, Deputy Director of Product Management and Workplace Research & Consulting Department Director at Nowy Styl Group, discussed this topic during a presentation and round-table discussion at the DESIGN IN THE AGE OF EXPERIENCE ™ conference. The event is devoted to sustainable innovations, i.e. changes in the design of products and services that positively influence social or economic issues. The conference is part of the programme of Milan Design Week – one of the biggest events dedicated to design lovers in the world.
"A well-designed office motivates people to work and increases their job commitment. People in every organisation undertake different tasks and perform diverse business processes. A functionally arranged office improves the efficiency of both. An optimally designed office space inspires people, organises their work, provides support in performing everyday duties and helps build a company’s image."
