Transaction of the Year, M&A of the Year is the name of the award our company has received for its acquisitions of the German company Kusch+Co and the French company Majencia earlier this year. Adam Krzanowski, co-founder and President of the Nowy Styl Group picked up the award personally. The award was presented in Warsaw, at the 4th Congress of Polish Capital, the biggest event organised by the Forbes magazine in Poland.
We have earned that prestigious award through our numerous acquisitions, the first of which took place back in 2011. In 2019, we carried out as many as two very important acquisitions. The first one, involving Kusch+Co, took place in January. The integration of the two companies brought a number of synergies. For the German brand, it brought an expansion of the company’s range of operation, and for our organisation a growth of our share in the European office market and a strong entry into the promising health and transport segments. The acquisition of Majencia, on the other hand, took place in May. We hope it will give a second life to the French company and that we will become the leader of the French office furniture market together.

The 4th Congress of Polish Capital serves the exchange of experience between owners and managers of large Polish enterprises. During the one-day conference, about 50 Polish business leaders speak on stage and take part in a number of discussion panels. This year, foreign expansion was the main theme of the event. Adam Krzanowski's expert opinion could also be heard in a panel entitled ‘Expansion model: greenfield or acquisition. How to design a Polish product that will conquer the world?’ in which he discussed the acquisition of foreign companies from a practical point of view.

This year's edition of the Congress was all the more unique because of the organiser's anniversary. The Forbes magazine is celebrating its 15th birthday this year. The formula of the competition made a reference to the anniversary to honour the achievements of Polish businesses.
